The mathematics of history

Mathematics is useful to understand not only science but also history.
Jean-Baptiste Michel paid attention to changing of languages especially regular verbs and irregular verbs.
He noticed a simple mathematical pattern; if a verb is 100 times more frequent, it regularized 10 times slower.
For an other example, he found that the number of inter-state conflicts is in proportion to casualties.
Recently, many books have became electronic around the world.
The more books become electronic, the easier we analyse history by using mathematics.
